We had a general meeting on Thursday morning, May 4th. It was well attended. Believe it or not, this is the last meeting for the school year!
It's never too soon to think about next year's auction! Committee meetings will begin early in the next school year, September or October. Next year is JBBP’s 45th anniversary, so we’ll be planning something special.
Cherry Blossom Festival was a success! We sold all of our ±900 bags by midday on the second Saturday. Thank you to the many who helped pop, sell, and everything in between. The parade was soggy but well attended. We're looking forward to next year hopefully with a streamlined popping process!
We have transferred funds to the Sensei Fund to help ensure the future of our JBBP.
Ballots for 2017-18 PTCC Board will be going out in backpacks on Monday. We have 10 people running for positions on next year's board.
No replacement has yet been named for Ms. Leslie who will be on sabbatical next year.
Owakareshiki is May 18. We have 37 graduates, up from 18 only 5 years ago. This is a testament to the hard work and commitment of the JBBP families and staff over the years. We will be presenting Mr. Jacobsen with flowers and a new happi coat, and a sakura tree will be planted.
Rosa Parks’s response to Clarendon’s proposal was submitted to the district. The Advisory Board put a lot of time and effort into crafting the thorough response.
Have a great summer!
